STORYTELLING
My story repertoire is a wonderfully eclectic mix. Some have a gritty edge to them, but I also love to be silly and heartfelt. I retell old myths as well as writing new tales, sometimes collaborating with sound artists, musicians, visual artists, theatre makers and other storytellers, mixing everything together in a
lovely Story Pie.
Though sometimes my stories will break your heart, I like to create a
warm and characterful atmosphere round my campfire.
I regularly perform for both adult and family audiences, and I run storytelling workshops for adults and children. I can usually be found telling a tale at our monthly open mic at the London Hospital Tavern.

THEATRE
I am a collaborative theatre maker, and I have a few different theatre-y hats in my cupboard. As well as performing and puppeteering, I am also a director, writer, and dramaturg, and I have recently created shows with companies including Slot Machine Theatre and Discover Children’s Story Centre.
I am the co-Artistic Director of The Suitcase Storytelling Company, blending theatre with oral-tradition storytelling. We make shows for all ages, and have developed work in partnership with venues all over the UK, including The Southbank Centre and the Scottish Storytelling Centre, where we have enjoyed many sell-out shows.

AUDIO
I have worked with companies including Discover Children’s Story Centre, The Science Museum and Freshwater Theatre creating and delivering workshops on topics ranging from recycled musical instruments and code-breaking to rockets and the Anglo Saxons. I have facilitated hundreds of workshops over the years. (Probably thousands, now I think of it. Definitely a thousand. Excuse me while I have a mild existential crisis.)
I also create bespoke storytelling-centred workshops, so if there’s something you would like to work with me on please get in touch!
Through the necessity of sorting the sound for shows I have created, I have developed my skills in sound design and audio production – so much so that I now get approached by other theatre companies to help with their sound design.
I honed my skills even further during lockdown (what’s a girl to do when she can’t tell stories live?) and have now made several longer form audio dramas, some of which have been part of audio-based installations.
