I have probably facilitated hundreds of workshops over the years. (Probably thousands, now I think of it. Definitely a thousand. Excuse me while I have a mild existential crisis.) I have worked with companies including Discover Children’s Story Centre, The Science Museum and Freshwater Theatre creating and delivering workshops on topics ranging from recycled musical instruments and code-breaking to rockets and the Anglo Saxons.
I also create bespoke storytelling-centred workshops, so if there’s something you would like to work with me on please get in touch!
Through the necessity of sorting the sound for shows I have created, I have developed my skills in sound design and audio production – so much so that I now get approached by other theatre companies to help with their sound design. I honed my skills even further during lockdown (what’s a girl to do when she can’t tell stories live?) and have now made several longer form audio dramas, some of which have been part of audio-based installations. Some of the projects I've done audio and sound design for are:
Discover Children's Story Centre, 2023
Interactive audio trail
Newham Word Festival, 2022
THE GIRL AND THE DRAGON
Audio story with shadow puppets
Suitcase Storytelling Company, 2020
Vickie Holden, 2022-2023
WHO WANTS TO BE AN OLYMPIAN
Pakiki Theatre, 2022
I do GOOD JOKES
I am an enthusiastic collector of Excellent Jokes. And by that I mostly mean puns. Some of my favourites are here (I’ve spared you my shaggy dog stories), but my collection is always open to new offerings…
